Dulling the Blade

[Insecurity - III]

Insecurity relies on the inner-perfectionist.

Perfectionism is a double-edged sword because perfect is not possible and satisfaction with imperfect is unimaginable.

Don't be fooled: perfectionism is not about “having high standards”. It's about self-punishment and judgment.

Insecurity is as much a habit (an addiction?) of self-wounding as it is a commitment to something like ”impeccability”.

We are allowed error.
We are given space to falter.

Grace dulls both sides of the blade.
(Plus, the sword is not so sharp after being thrown on the ground.)
