Weekly Roundup: Beginning 2020
December 30, 2019 - January 4, 2020
Monday: The past is inconsequential at this point. The future is unknown. But that thing, that issue, that idea that is in you right now is the beginning of your role in a better tomorrow.
Tuesday: This wraps up daily blogging for 2019. As I look forward to 2020, I can make out the very edges of several big projects I’m thrilled about.
Wednesday: If the shortcut works, it wouldn’t be a shortcut. It would be an innovation, and eventually it would be the standard practice. So long as it is a “shortcut” we might as well call it what it really is: an empty promise.
Thursday: What do you bring to the table? What skills and insights and convictions do you have that we need? If you’re young and raw and full of passion, we need that. If you’re tired and have “seen it all", but have a small flame still at your center, we need that, too. And everyone in-between.
Friday: The compelling work that is changing neighborhoods, schools, counties, and the world, is not necessarily coming from corner offices with people that have endless budgets and several assistants. Actually, it rarely is.
Saturday: Knowing the trendy words and practicing what the words represent can be miles apart. The disparity might not be obvious to the general public now; it will be soon. The disparity is always obvious to the people that matter most to you.
