Putting Trendy Words On It

If you are still dirty, calling yourself “green" will work for a while.

If you are still hiding, secretive, and slippery, saying you’re “transparent" and "authentic" will work for a while.

If you are unhealthy and wasteful, plastering “sustainable” everywhere will work for a while.

If you are closed to change, calling yourself “open to change” will work for a while.

Knowing the trendy words and practicing what the words represent can be miles apart.

The disparity might not be obvious to the general public now; it will be soon. The disparity is always obvious to the people that matter most to you.

This is true for individuals.
And for businesses.
And for charities.
And, most of all, for faith communities.
