Sept. 30 - Oct. 5, 2019
Last week's roundup.
Monday: Feeding on the worst inclinations of society, feeding on impulsive short-sighted tendencies, feeding on xenophobia and fabricated conflict, bottom feeders aren’t interested in health. They only care about getting big.
Tuesday: There’s a positive correlation between what people are willing to pay and what they expect to see. Another way to say it: The curtain comes at a cost.
Wednesday: Three is a number of seriousness, completeness, intentionality. Try it. Write yourself three notes, send yourself three reminders, tell your friend three times, reiterate to your partner three days in a row.
Thursday: Writing is risky. It risks stapling words to thoughts, which is inevitably imperfect. It risks putting limitation of language on those opinions and perspectives. Those ideas that were hunkered down in your mind risk stepping out into the elements of communication.
Friday: Go with the grain, which is believed to be safer but is more dangerous in the end. Or, go against the grain, holding steady and staying your course.
Saturday: Fire is never about the flame or the fuel or the pit. Fire is always about something bigger. What’s the fire that burns in you?
