Have You Read It?

[Coronavirus – XIX]

The in-depth analysis on those not recovering from the virus.
The reports on why black communities are disproportionately suffering.
The stimulus package.
The transcript of the last presidential briefing.
The test results in your county.
The back story of the nurse that died last week at your local hospital.

We watch and listen and glance at "news" about these stories, but do we do the work to understand? Instead of scrolling for an hour, are we willing to read the stimulus package for an hour?

Looking at the post that was a shared post about a story that was about a popular person’s opinion on a story about the virus is not the same thing as working hard to inform ourselves of the mayhem we are in.

Put in the time.
Engage.
Commit to understanding.

We need that of you. Of our leaders. (Especially those that speak to ultimate meaning, faith, and the role of worship in this time.)

Unplug for a while, so you can plug into the focused, thoughtful engagement that is required to truly understand.
