“Monopolies" are the Opposite

[Missing Middlemen - V]

The opposite of middlemen is not zero middlemen. The opposite of go-betweens is not immediate access to that thing, that resource, that information. Actually, the opposite of middlemen is a middleman. One middleman. One “person" that controls all the information, all the access, all the dealings and flow of goods.

The opposite of middlemen is a monopoly.

Zero middlemen is the consequence of changing markets, growing and expanding platforms, personal computers, and a whole host of other factors empowering individuals' immediate access to X.

A monopoly, on the other hand, eliminates choice and thereby access by any other means but the monopoly.

The motive of monopolies is greed.
The spirit of monopolies is control.
The practices of monopolies are abusive.

“Monopolies" are in every sector, every field, every market, and every institution. It’s a company, a church, a boss, a neighbor.
