Last week's roundup.
Monday: Now that I’m paying close attention, I realize the enemy voice has more tactics than I first thought. I’ll keep adding to my scouting report...
Tuesday: The enemy voice may have no correlation with reality, but it has everything to do with your vulnerability. The enemy voice whispers daggers where your vital organs are exposed, not where your armor is the thickest.
Wednesday: Boring is kryptonite to creatives. And by “creatives" I don’t mean only artists or authors; I mean anyone that produces beauty, delivers on their convictions, and presses “send” with their integrity in tact. Really, I mean anyone that creates.
Thursday: The lie behind “It’s more complex than that” is this: “More time will make your project more fool proof." It can always be more complex, more dynamic, or more nuanced. But more time often means more delay, more procrastination, more doubt.
Friday: The lie is that certain concerns, cares, and convictions are less important than others, rendering the lesser of the two unworthy of attention.
Saturday: “Look!” That’s it. That’s all the enemy voice has to say. “Look!” is a distraction technique—to do anything other than the thing you know you ought to be doing.
