Sept. 16 - 21, 2019

Last week's roundup.

Monday: Life is only lived in one direction—straight forward, head on, looking through the front windshield. Understanding life, however, only comes with reflection on what has happened, looking in the rearview mirror.

Tuesday: Mr. Harper has a choice. To grind or not?... Coldplay has a choice. To grind or not?... You have a choice, too.

Wednesday: Let me affirm you: Your idea is big, important, and it’s indeed the solution. Don’t believe anyone that says otherwise, even if that “person” is your inner critic that won’t be quiet. He (or she) is lying.

Thursday: Machines can fulfill roles, finish tasks, even satisfy the requirements for entire jobs. But they cannot replace humans. Be human. Create. Learn. Be curious. Bring all of that to your work.

Friday: Entrepreneurs “sell” their companies short with vision for a year, even five. (But that’s not their biggest problem.) Faith communities do the same obsessing about last year, the previous generation, and what once was. (But that’s not their biggest problem.) And parents can hardly think about anything other than surviving in the present. (But that’s not their biggest problem.)

Saturday: People like us know the difference. We’re all here to burn with the passion for change. Let us make the necessary investments up front so that our contribution will be thorough, deep, and lasting.
