Ask Usain Bolt
Everyone wants to be the best at the thing they do. Who doesn’t want to be their own version of Usain Bolt?
Statistically you have a less than 1% of 1% chance of doing that. (And that’s probably too high of a percentage.) If you manage to beat all the odds and become the best, it’s only for a moment. Tides change, trends fade, people age, and nobody’s the best for long.
Ask Usain Bolt. He was literally the fastest man alive for a while. But even Bolt, at his peak, knew that a 12 year old was coming up and would eventually dethrone him.
It’s not about competition to the top. The “top” is arbitrary. And temporary.
What’s your personal top? Your chances of reaching it are much higher. Your chances of staying there are much higher, too.
Take risks but weigh your chances.
And invest wisely in what lasts.
Just ask Usain Bolt.
