Delivering
Deliver on your message.
As in, doing what you say you will do in the way you said you would do it.
Follow through. Integrity.
In an age of information saturation, less is more. Better is more.
And better means you deliver.
Application:
The goal is to get the attention of the people you are supposed to connect with and then earn their permission to continue to have their attention. This is only possible by being articulate, offering understanding, giving value over time.
Those people, and only those people, have given you permission, which is a gift. It’s a gift of their trust in what you offer, and it should not be taken lightly. Rightfully so, they have expectations.
Now, deliver on them.

Reminder: Here are the five alternatives to engaging your community in an information-saturated world. (Please, no more information dumping.)
-
-
- Getting their attention (in the midst of mind-numbing, information overload).
- Earning their permission (to share, to be heard, an ultimately to be trusted).
- Delivering on their expectations (of the people that gave you permission to share through the noise).
- Facilitating their connection (in the form of a genuine community).
- Inspiring their creation (of solutions in partnership with the community).
