Things I've Learned...

10 Things I’ve Learned Blogging Daily For a Month:

      1. I’m more articulate in my head than on paper, which is to say...
      2. Writing my ideas in an accessible way takes work.
      3. Writing everyday gets easier after three weeks. (Check back with me in a month.)
      4. An audience doesn’t materialize because I’m offering something valuable, but...
      5. Building an audience was never, and ought never, be my goal. It’s more tempting now than on day one.
      6. Writing is an act of generosity.
      7. I’m more inclined to invite people to read my blog now that I’ve put in some work.
      8. Pressing the “publish” button is still courageous. (Going public is always courageous, I think.)
      9. At least half my posts I would write differently, if I wrote them again.
      10. Nothing has helped clarify who I’m writing for more than writing for them.
