Things I've Learned...
10 Things I’ve Learned Blogging Daily For a Month:
-
-
- I’m more articulate in my head than on paper, which is to say...
- Writing my ideas in an accessible way takes work.
- Writing everyday gets easier after three weeks. (Check back with me in a month.)
- An audience doesn’t materialize because I’m offering something valuable, but...
- Building an audience was never, and ought never, be my goal. It’s more tempting now than on day one.
- Writing is an act of generosity.
- I’m more inclined to invite people to read my blog now that I’ve put in some work.
- Pressing the “publish” button is still courageous. (Going public is always courageous, I think.)
- At least half my posts I would write differently, if I wrote them again.
- Nothing has helped clarify who I’m writing for more than writing for them.
