The Dark of Night

[Birth & Babies - VI]

Mammals often give birth at night.
Mythologically, birth and moons are associated.
Literarily, stars and pregnancy are connected.
Stars guide wise men to newborns, evidently, too,*

Something about the night ski and birth go hand in hand.
Something about the suspense of daytime and new life are connected.
Something about rest and sleep brings strength from the womb.

But night seems so unproductive.

Perhaps you’re in a dark season.
Maybe you are bearing the heaviness of night.

You, dear friend, rest assured that the divine is still at work to bring forth new life. Sometimes it takes the blanket of night to incubate the possibilities of a new future.
