Sharper is Safer

[Using a Knife - II]

A sharp knife can do serious damage to a thumb or index finger. For those accustomed to very sharp blades, they know the simile “like a hot knife through butter” can easily be replaced with “like a sharp knife through skin”. (I learned this the hard way.)

A dull knife usually does more damage, however. Because it requires more force to break the flesh of the item of food it cuts, any miscalculation can redirect the increased pressure to an unintended target. Sometimes that’s a finger.

Sharper is not only a better chopping experience, it’s safer, in the end.

So it is working within your gifting.
