Weekly Roundup: Listening & Seeing

December 6 - December 10

Monday: The first step to problem solving is always listening. Without it you’re blind. Sometimes literally.

Tuesday: Being close to the action, even if it feels like you’re in it, has the same influence on the game as someone infinitely far away. Get in the game! It’s the only way to make a difference.

Wednesday: People like us that are unwilling to continue in the cult of distraction need each other. As reminders that reality is what we need. And the concrete, untelevised encounters we have with each other is what it means to be human and where it is that real change happens.

Thursday: There’s a preoccupation, it seems, by the supernatural for the natural. Not the other way around... The work worth focusing on, the place that really matters, the bodies and homes and communities of real value, are all here, in this time and space.

Friday: The difference between merely seeing that thing that makes a big difference and getting it done is a to-do list. A long-term to-do list—a chipping-away list. Broken up into small, accomplish-able tasks.
