“Nobody”

It is loud and clear today. I was making tea and preparing my things to go to the office. Sure enough, the enemy voice reared its ugly head. Right in the middle of brainstorming a project I wanted to write, the enemy voice said, “Nobody will care.” And immediately after, “Nobody needs another perspective like yours; there’s already plenty.”

Nobody this.
Nobody that.
Nobody, nobody, nobody.

“Nobody…” confirms our fear of isolation, confirms our fear of our project falling flat, confirms our fear that no one will attend our event, gallery, show, church, party, big unveiling, grand opening.

If having an audience, customers, or friends and supporters is part of the thing you know you’re supposed to do, then the enemy voice will be up bright and early to remind you, “Nobody cares.”

It’s a darn lie!
