Forecast: Rain
It’s supposed to rain Monday. And Tuesday.
That’s two days I have to delay the work I had scheduled.
My whole week—the whole month, really!—is set back 48 hours.
Weather, and so many other variables out of our control, inevitably go wrong. What we do with them is up to us.
Will they empower us to crack the project we never have time for, or will they be another arrow in our quiver of reasons for not making it, getting found, reaching completion, meeting a deadline, or being recognized?
How can we use setbacks as creative advantages?
As serendipitous opportunities?
As gifts that lead to surprising satisfaction?
One way: By being ready for them.
Do you have a "rainy day project”? Get one.
And be ready to thank the next soggy day for the opportunity.
